Features that do not use AI, such as searching by metrics and your own formulas, presets, word search, and financial history, are free without an account. When you sign up for free, you can also use MCP integration (50 calls per day) and receive a small AI budget.

You will never be charged unless you sign up for Katana Trial or Katana Pro.

There are two plans:

• Katana Trial: 7 days, a one-time payment of ¥500. It does not renew.
• Katana Pro: ¥3,000 per month.

Both add an AI budget and raise MCP calls to 500 per day. With Katana Pro, the AI budget renews every month. See Pricing for details.

It is the budget for Katana's AI to turn a hypothesis into conditions and to read annual reports to judge companies. The remaining amount is shown on screen as a percentage. Once it is used up, AI features are unavailable for the rest of that period. Unused budget does not carry over.

While subscribed to Katana Pro, you can add 50% of a month's AI budget for ¥1,000. The added budget is valid for 90 days from purchase and can still be used after cancelling within that period.

You can cancel the monthly plan at any time from "Plans" → "Manage subscription". You can keep using it until the end of the period you have paid for. Katana Trial does not renew, so no cancellation is needed.

Katana obtains and processes annual securities reports disclosed on EDINET (Japan's Financial Services Agency) directly. The data is updated every morning.

You can view up to 10 years of financials for each company.

Katana's data is based on each company's latest annual securities report. When you connect Katana to your AI through MCP, the AI also looks up the latest earnings, company announcements, and news, and analyzes them together with Katana's data.

It connects Katana to the AI you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT. Just tell your AI what kind of companies you are looking for. The server URL is https://mcp.katanascreener.com/mcp, and the MCP integration page explains how to connect.

It is a very convenient and low-cost way to use Katana, so we encourage you to try it (the developer uses Katana almost entirely through MCP).

Only the qualitative judgment of annual reports uses the same AI budget as "Search with AI". Your own AI builds the conditions, so that part does not use Katana's AI budget.
