These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of "Katana — Japan Stock Screener" (the "Service"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
The Service processes and calculates financial data disclosed on EDINET (the Financial Services Agency's system for securities report disclosures) into configurable, viewable stock-screening criteria for Japan-listed (Tokyo Stock Exchange) equities. It is developed and operated by an individual.
The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not recommend or solicit the purchase or sale of any specific financial product. The criteria, figures, and rankings displayed are purely the mechanical result of calculating and sorting disclosed data; they do not constitute a recommendation of any individual security or a substitute for investment judgment. All investment decisions are made at your own risk and responsibility. The operator assumes no liability for any damages arising from use of the Service.
The Service's financial data is obtained and processed directly from disclosures on EDINET (Financial Services Agency). The operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data. There may be a time lag between an earnings disclosure and its reflection in the Service.
"Search with AI" requires an account registered with an email address or a Google account. You are responsible for managing your account. A single person may not create multiple accounts to obtain the free AI credit repeatedly.
Prices, payment, cancellation, and refunds for the paid plans (7-day trial, Katana Pro (monthly plan), and additional AI usage) are as set out in the Legal Notice under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions.
AI features have a usage limit per period for each plan. The remaining amount is shown on screen as a percentage; once the limit is reached, AI features are unavailable for the rest of that period, and unused usage does not carry over. New accounts may receive a small free AI credit once. To prevent abuse, the free credit may not be given again to multiple accounts registered from the same network within a short period.
The operator may change usage limits, prices, and plan contents. Price changes apply from the billing period that starts after the change.
AI features draft screening conditions from what you enter and judge, from the text of annual securities reports, whether each company meets them. AI output may contain errors, and the operator does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. AI output is also not investment advice, as stated in Article 2. For these features, the text you enter is sent to external AI services (see the Privacy Policy).
When using the Service, the following conduct is prohibited:
If you violate these Terms, the operator may suspend your account without prior notice.
The operator may change the content of the Service, or suspend or terminate its provision, without prior notice. The operator assumes no liability for any damages incurred by users as a result.
The operator may change these Terms when deemed necessary. Revised Terms take effect from the time they are posted on this page.
These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Japan.
